HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS
Please call the hotels directly to arrange for your accommodation during the workshop. Note: This is a tourist destination so room availability is extremely limited, so book ASAP.
The recently remodeled Red Roof Inn, South Deerfield is my top recommendation. Most participants choose to stay here because it is 1) an easy 10 minutes/7 miles from my house and 2) very moderately priced, about $100 or less with a AAA or AARP discount. There is not a restaurant on site but there is a Subway next door and several restaurants within a ½ to 1 mile radius. Greenfield is further North on I-91 and about 15 minutes to my house via Route 2 East. There is a Hampton Inn there as well as a Motel 6.

Travel
AMTRAK: If you’re coming from New York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey, or Washington, So is 20 miles from the Amtrak station in Springfield, Massachusetts or 8 miles from the Amtrak station in Amherst, Massachusetts.

AIRFARE
The closest airport to Montague is Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT (airport code BDL). It is approximately 55 minutes to the Red Roof Inn in South Deerfield – an easy drive directly up I-91 north.
Hartford is a full service international airport that also offers some discount airlines (such as Southwest Airlines). You may want to use one of the following discount travel websites to find the most reasonable airfare:
